MakerBot Opens New, Larger Factory in Brooklyn

Grand Opening of New 50,000 Square Foot Facility at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7

WHO:   MakerBot brings new meaning to “Made in the USA” and even “Made in NY” with “Made with Brooklyn Pride!” MakerBot is excited to announce it has moved and expanded its production facility to a larger location in Brooklyn, where MakerBot currently employees more than 100 “productors” tasked with building MakerBot Desktop 3D Printers. And… MakerBot is hiring another 50+ employees at its new location in coming months.
 
WHAT: The MakerBot Factory, located in the Sunset Park district of Brooklyn, officially opens its doors on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., to invited guests and media. The state-of-the-art facility boasts 50,000 square feet of production and warehouse space to meet the growing demand for MakerBot desktop 3D printers.

 

Invited guests are invited to meet MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis and have a tour of the MakerBot Factory.
